Fannie Belle Brown Kennedy, 87, resident of Robertson Road in Lynnville, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Blake Hawthorne, Dr.Bill Bryant, and David Wood, C.R.E. officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 24, 1929 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late T. W. Brown and Elizabeth Renegar Brown. On July 10, 1948, she married William Frank "Bill" Kennedy who preceded her in death July 2, 2002. She was a graduate of Jones High School in Lynnville. For many years she worked in the cafeteria at Jones High School and later made ice cream for L.E. Moore Drugstore. Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed working on her farm milking cows. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lynnville. Survivors include her daughters, Lee Anne (Jerry) Prince, Mary (Doyle) Trigg both of Lynnville; son, Billy (Cindy) Kennedy of Lynnville; grandchildren, Jimmy (Becki) Trigg, Beth (Chad) Hall, Rachel (Brian) Allred, Holly (Brent) Gibson, Cassie (Jeff) Snedegar, Justin Prince; ten great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Faye Lentz of Columbia, Peggy (Bill) Jones of Lewisburg; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Katherine and John Yokley of Lynnville, and Jean Brown Smith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Richard "Tom" Brown. Active pallbearers will be Jack Yokley, Allen Lentz, Billy Gene Jones, Keith Farmer, Sonny Hargrove, Anthony Hardison, Scott Smith, and Steve Latta. Honorary pallbearers include members of First Presbyterian Church in Lynnville.
