View Funeral WebcastMrs. Thurzle Fay Sullivan Gray, 70, resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Wesley Gilbert Sullivan and Rena Mosley Sullivan Brown. On July 3, 1959 she married J.C. Gray of Columbia who survives her. Mrs. Gray was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Baptist Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Jimmy) Haywood of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Terry (Tonda) Gray of Scottsboro, AL, Jay (Carol) Gray of Lynnville; four grandchildren, Amber (Kelvin) Davis of Lafayette, Elissa (Sy) Banks of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jayda (Chris) Couch of Murfreesboro, Specialist Wesley Andrews, U.S. Army, Ft. Drum, N.Y.; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Davis, Sierra Davis, Skylar Davis all of Lafayette; two step-grandchildren, Josh (Nanna) Haywood of Santee, CA, Amy Haywood of Columbia; two step-great-grandchildren, Aiden Haywod and Sophie Haywood both of Santee, CA; three sisters, Dot (Harold) Glover of Pulaski, Sue (Charles) Mitchell, Peggy Sullivan both of Columbia; two brothers, Johnny Sullivan, Robert (Polly) Sullivan both of Columbia; three sisters-in-law, Louise (Bobby) Young, Judy Gray, Debbie (Joe) Wiley all of Columbia; and brother-in-law, Sam (Rhonda) Gray of Odessa, TX. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Gray and a grandson, Jarret Gray. Pallbearers will be Kelvin Davis, Sy Banks, Ricky Waters, Chris Couch, Ricky Stanfill and Todd Westmoreland. Honorary pallbearers will be Specialist Wesley Andrews, U.S. Army, Jimmy Haywood, Sam Gray and Jeff Martin.
