Faye Ernestine Dodson Locke

Faye Ernestine Dodson Locke, 93, former resident of Columbia, died Thursday, April 16, 2020 in Franklin. A private graveside service for Mrs. Locke was held Friday in Polk Memorial Gardens. Born October 19, 1926 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Dodson and the late Janie Sowell Dodson. On October 2, 1949, she married Calvin Raymon “Ray” Locke who preceded her in death on September 7, 2017. Mrs. Locke was well known for making custom drapes for homes and businesses for many years. She also worked at Union Carbide for a short period of time. Mrs. Locke was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Dr. Joel Raymon (Frieda) Locke of Franklin; brother, Madison E. Dodson of Columbia; grandchildren, Elizabeth Locke (Joseph) Etherton, Joel Raymon Locke, Jr.; great grandchildren, Monroe Etherton and Walker Etherton; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Church and Madge Alderson; and brother, Harold Dodson.
