Faye Clayton Southall

Mrs. Elizabeth Faye Clayton Southall, 71, resident of Thomas Avenue, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mark Webb officiating. Burial will be in Kittrell Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Lewis County native was the daughter of the late Jessie Willard Clayton and Irene Gregg Clayton. On April 14, 1951 she married Carl Jackson Southall who preceded her in death May 26, 1984. She was retired from River Valley Mills. Mrs. Southall was a member of South Point Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Anthony Carl "Tony" (Nancy) Southall of Santa Fe; two grandchildren, Cassandra Kaye Southall and Matthew Crumley both of Columbia; five great-grandchildren, Daimen Seiber, Domonic Seiber both of Hohenwald, Jayce Southall of Columbia, Alayna Thompson and Jay Thompson both of Santa Fe; three sisters, Peggy Joe Clayton of Columbia, Linda (Dalton) Crowell of Hohenwald, Janice (Rick) Cummings of Centerville; four brothers, Bobby Wayne (Cleon) Clayton of Mt. Pleasant, Jerome Douglas (Bonnie) Clayton, David (Sue) Clayton both of Columbia, Richard G. (Karen) Clayton of Centerville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Michelle Clayton and a sister, Willodean Clayton. Pallbearers, Damien Clayton, Vaughn Warren, Brent Haywood, Michael Southall, Matthew Crumley and Ronnie Southall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry York, Leon York, Dwight York, Ronnie Gregg, Rick Cummings, Dalton Crowell and Raymond Workman.
