Flewellyn McKibbon Ingrum, 84, retired from the purchasing department of DuPont and Spontex, died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at The Bridge of Columbia. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Smith and Rev. Chip Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Dr. Claude McKibbon and the late Annie Wilkes McKibbon. On February 1, 1957, she married James Sydney Ingrum who preceded her in death January 4th, 2011. She was a 1950 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Flewellyn enjoyed square dancing with The Wagon Wheelers and spending time at their cabin on the Tennessee River. She was a devoted member of Maury Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, and First United Methodist Church. A devoted grandmother, she was affectionately known as "Granny" by her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and passed on her love of adventure to all who knew her. Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (Keith) Layne of Columbia; Jamie (Mike) Caskey of Lascassas, TN; and grandchildren, Brooke (Cory) Prewitt, Parker Caskey, Lauren Layne, and Matthew Layne. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Claude Griffin, Joleen Hughes and Dot Gifford. Active Pallbearers are Parker Caskey, Matthew Layne, Cory Prewitt, Chuck Gifford, Carl Gifford, Rodney Gifford, and Mike Hughes.The family expresses deep appreciation to special friends and caregivers Carrissa Stone, Shakela Gant and Robin Anthony.The family requests memorials in-lieu-of flowers to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the National Kidney Foundation.
