Forrest Taylor "F.T." Foster, 91, retired heavy equipment operator for Occidental Chemical Company and resident of Ashwood Drive, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Kane officiating. Entombment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late William Benjamin Foster and Lucy Sutton Foster. On June 23, 1945, he married Ruby Norman Foster and their 46 year marriage ended with her death May 17, 1991. Then January 1997 he married Christine Bishop Foster who preceded him in death July 11, 2016. Mr. Foster enjoyed camping, fishing, raising his garden, county music, and riding through the countryside. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Pat (David) Presley of Spring Hill; step-children, Sandra Potts of Culleoka, Glenda (Jerry) Crumley of Culleoka, Janice Foster of Forney, Texas, Deborah (J.B.) Mangrum of Dickson; sister, Betty Jean Thurman of Columbia; grandchildren, Amber Presley, Bethany Gordon; step- grandchildren, Joel (Cindy) Potts, Kim Hardison, Chris Potts, Brian (Cassie) Potts, Rhonda (Joey) Davenport, Daryl (Kelly) Odom, Jay-Michael Mangrum, Joe (Leslie) Foster, Kendall (Rhonda) Foster, Kevin (Shiquella) Baird, Kurt Baird, Daphne (Mike) Adams; step- great grandchildren, Austin (Morgan) Potts, Levi Potts, Jayclyn Potts, Maranda Hardison, Zackary Hardison, Ashley Potts, Dylan Potts, Mackenzie Davenport, Keaton Davenport, Baylea Davenport, Savannah Connell, Reno Baird, Gunner Baird, Dominick Morgan, Michael Alan Potts, Andrew Potts, Brady Fuller, Kylie Foster, Dakota Foster; and step-great great grandchildren, Abby Jo Potts, Barrett Potts, Elyas Ryder Baird, Ariana Blaze Morgan, and Eva Marie Baird; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by brothers, Lee Foster and Raymond Foster; sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Louise Grissom, and Bessie Clark; and two step- sons, Joseph "Pete" Foster and Ronald "Ronnie" Foster. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Lucy Ledbetter and staff.
