Forrest McGee, Jr., 84, retired insurance agent and Securities Registered Representative, and longtime resident of Brentwood, died Monday, February 26, 2018, at Morning Pointe. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Brentwood Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Memorial Gardens with Gayle Haywood officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Brentwood Baptist Church, 7777 Concord Road, Brentwood, TN. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 23, 1933 in Newnan, Georgia, he was the son of the late Forrest McGee, Sr. and the late Clara Millians McGee. On February 27, 1953, he married Bobbie Jean Stephenson McGee who preceded him in death April 4, 2016. Mr. McGee owned and operated McGee & Associates for several years. He was formerly employed forty years with Lincoln Financial Advisors, working mainly with teachers and the Williamson County Board of Education. In 2015, McGee & Associates merged with Retirement Solutions Group of Tennessee. A private pilot, Mr. McGee was a member of the Old Hickory Flyers Club, an avid outdoorsman, as well as an accomplished dancer. He was active with East Lake Baptist Church Boy Scout Troop 108 and a member of the Georgia Jaycees. He was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. Survivors include his sons, Greg (Shelly) McGee of Waverly and Steve (Janie) McGee of Culleoka; grandsons, Gregory McGee, Jr. and Christian McGee, both of Waverly; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Curt McGee; and sister, Carolyn White. Pallbearers will be Christian McGee, Gregory McGee, Matt McGee, Kip White, Hank Skelton, and Johnny Simmons. The family has designated Music & Memory, the non-profit organization that has made a significant difference in our father's comfort, as recipient of memorial contributions.
