Francenia Lochiel "Mrs. Frankie" Baxter Patterson, 79, resident of Apache Circle in Pulaski, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at Life Care Center of Columbia.Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Bob Vickers and Brother Rick Bilyeu officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born April 9, 1937 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Carroll Baxter and Nora Ester Valentine Baxter. On December 26, 1955, she married Cody James Patterson, who preceded her in death July 29, 2008. She loved children more than anything in the world, which led to her long-time profession as a child care provider. A faithful member of Richland Baptist Church, Mrs. Patterson used her many artistic abilities and talents to serve God. Survivors include her daughters, Melinda Harlan of Savannah; Melissa (David) Russell of Pulaski; grandchildren, Bethany Russell, Beverly Russell, Brianna Russell; sister, Joyce Meadors of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Denver Baxter, Delmar Baxter, Robbie Sue Baxter, Jim Baxter, Gardie Bottoms, Tracy Baxter, Hazel Baxter, Doy Baxter, Avis Hood, Dee Baxter, and Duard Baxter. Active pallbearers will be J.J. Brinkley, Steven Farrar, Chris Campbell, Chris Bue, Cade Harrison, and Johnny Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be all those that she kept and loved as her own.
