View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Frances Hall Howell, age 89, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend died Thursday, June 4, 2020, at her home in Mt. Pleasant, TN, where she spent her last years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zettie Hall, her husband of 53 years, N.B.Howell, daughter, Betty S. Prince, and all nine of her brothers and sisters. Frances is survived by daughters Linda (Don) Sullivan, Joyce (Randy) Sprouse, precious granddaughters Amber and Heather, and the jewel of her last years, great granddaughter Kinley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frances was a longtime resident of the home her husband built on the Sante Fe Pike in Columbia. From this home she had a very successful alterations business for many years after leaving Pigg and Parsons where she thrived. Miracles left her sewing room, challenges never stalled her. Sewing was her passion and she loved her clientele and they loved her. She was tireless when it came to doing for others, family or otherwise. A Christian by example, Frances was a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ. Your light will always shine bright our precious angel. Special thanks to caregivers Tami Pagel and Gaye Sprouse. Memorials can be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN, 37203. Funeral services will be held at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home Saturday at 1:00 P.M. with Randy Sprouse officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Polk Memorial Gardens.
