Mrs. Frances Lovett Brown, 78, resident of the Rally Hill Community, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bobby Sampson officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Thomas Washington Lovett and Hattie Morgan Kincaid Lovett. In 1953 she married Luther Edward Brown who preceded her in death July 1, 1997. She was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ and in recent years attended Sharps Corner Church of Christ. She is survived by one aunt, Leona Agent of Chapel Hill; two nephews, Grover (Juanita) Brown, Jr., Fred (Ruby) Brown of Franklin; one niece, Elsie Smithson of Spring Hill; four great-nieces, Brenda (Corey) Rice of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Janice (John) Sharp of Rally Hill, Crystal Able and Kisha Brown both of Chester, Virginia; four great-nephews Tony Smithson of Spring Hill, Darren Brown and Kendall Brown both of Chester, Virginia, Kevin Brown of Franklin; eight great-great nieces and nephews; several cousins; and special friend Edith Rummage of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Brown and two nephews Wayne Brown and Leslie Brown. Pallbearers will be Leonard Lovell, Billy Joe Hendricks, Fred Brown, Charles Kincaid, Grover Brown, Jr., Tony Smithson and Corey Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be men of New Lasea Church of Christ and men of Sharps Corner Church of Christ.
