Mrs. Frances Kennedy Logsdon, 97, a long time resident of Sheddan Drive, died Friday May 21, 2021 at The Bridge. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Old Well Cemetery with John Vaughn officiating. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Henry Grady Kennedy and the late Annie Porter Delk Kennedy. On December 24, 1943 she married Arlyn (A.R.) Russell Logsdon who preceded her in death on November 20, 2006. Mrs. Logsdon was a secretary at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama and also retired from Columbia State Community College where she was the Secretary of Deans. She was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, DeWitt A. (Brenda) Logsdon of Columbia; grandchildren, Jeff (Whitney) Logsdon and Drew Logsdon of Columbia; great-grandchild, Brooks Logsdon of Columbia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Logsdon; sisters, Annie Mae Lain, Betty Gentry, and Jane Farley; brothers, William “Dub” Kennedy, Grady Kennedy, Roy Kennedy and Sam Kennedy.
