Frances Phillips Mrs. Frances Corine Armstrong Phillips, 77, retired employee of Maury Manufacturing, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at her residence on New Sheboss Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Hueston Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Old Well Cemetery. The Christian County, Kentucky native was the daughter of the late Joe Armstrong and Corine Green Armstrong. She was married to Willis R. Phillips who preceded her in death March 5, 2002. She was a member of Southpoint Church of Christ. Her family will remember her as a good "granny". Survivors include one son, Charles (fiancée, Pam Hudgins) Phillips of Duck River; one brother, Joe (Bonnie) Armstrong of Brentwood; three grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Smith and Matt Phillips both of Duck River, Emily Phillips of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, McKinley Armstrong. Pallbearers will be Alan Jones, Chuck Armstrong, Joe Jones, Jimmy Roland, Dwight Belew, Chad Smith and Charlie Goatz.
