View Funeral Webcast Frances Virginia Kennedy Brown, 90, homemaker and resident of Franklin, died Monday, March 1, 2021 in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. Born December 29, 1930 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late James Frank Kennedy, Sr. and the late Alberta V. Kinzer Kennedy. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, whom she married July 25, 1952, Richard E. Brown, Sr. of Franklin; daughters, Sherry Brown Daniels of Nashville; Stephanie Brown (Woody) Wood of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Sophia Brown (Jay) Crawford of Cane Ridge; son, Ricky (Denise) Brown of Franklin; brother, Jerry (Glenda) Kennedy; grandchildren, Heather (Scot) Baker of Thompson Station; Misty (Todd) Kennedy of Lebanon; Chad (Cindy) Daniels of Cottontown; Ashlee (Mike) Ramsey of Whites Creek; Chelsea Brown of Franklin; Dusty (Heather) Wood of Hendersonville; Shane (Melody) Wood of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Taylor (Billy) Crawley of Smyrna; Jinny Crawford (fiancé, Zac Benedetti) of Cane Ridge; Jamie (Melody) Jacobs of Bethesda; sister-in-law, Sherrie Kennedy; twenty three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and eleven nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Buddy Kennedy, Billy Kennedy, Kenneth Kennedy, Wayne Kennedy; son-in-law, Charles Daniels; paternal grandparents, Nora and Knox Kennedy; maternal grandparents, Virginia and Albert Kinzer; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Kennedy, and Patsy Kennedy. Active pallbearers will be Chad Daniels, Dusty Wood, Shane Wood, Ricky Brown, Jay Crawford, and Stephen “Woody” Wood.
