View Funeral Webcast View Video Tribute Francis X. “Fran” Frederick, Sr. was born to Mildred and Francis Frederick in Riterville, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1937. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Sue, his daughter, Kathi, and his brothers, Bud and Don Anderson, and sister, Sue Bartlett. He is survived by his son, Frank; daughters, Kimberly and Karen; son-in-law, Todd; daughter-in-law, Trisha; son-in-law, Webb; sister-in-law, June Anderson; and eight grandchildren, Norma Lee, Kristen, Whitney, Cameron, Colton, Cassidy, Allison, and Lauren. Francis moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1966 from New York and he worked for Raytheon for over thirty years before retiring with his wife to Columbia, Tennessee in 2005. He enjoyed gardening, puzzles, and watching the wildlife like deer, bunnies, foxes, and skunks that would visit his yard on a daily basis. One of his favorite activities was watching game shows snuggled up with his beloved dog, Sophie. He also took great joy in helping other in need and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 6:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
