Frank Albert Jennings, 78, retired owner and operator of Jennings Automotive and resident of Sowell Mill Pike, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Dr. Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Army Corps of Engineers in the European Theatre during World War II. Mr. Jennings was a member and longtime deacon of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Madge Sharp Jennings of Columbia; one daughter, Denise (Glenn) Summers of Decherd; one son, Keith (René) Jennings of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Erin Jennings and Alex Jennings, both of Murfreesboro; Tom Summers and Jeff Summers, both of Decherd; and one great grandson, Jordan Summers of Decherd. He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryne Jennings; and one brother, Billy Jennings. Pallbearers will be Alex Jennings, Tom Summers, Jeff Summers, Eddie Vaughn, Ken Horner, and Ron Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and men of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Ocial Sharpton, Freddie Daniel, Dory Adams, Bernie Lee Bolton, Clyde Frost, and Grady Sharp.
