Frank R. Sanders Frank R. Sanders, 65, former Columbia resident and ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Church, died Monday, March 14, 2005 in Lake City, Florida. Services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Live Oak, Florida. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Bedford County native was the son of the late Ed Sanders and Eva Pearl Curtis Sanders of Bedford County. He came to Columbia in the 1960s as an agent for Kentucky Central Insurance Company. He was associated with Oakes & Nichols as office manager and a licensed funeral director for a number of years and later worked at Goodyear Company. While living in Columbia, he was active in the Columbia Jaycees and was a member of the Columbia Lions Club. He was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Most recently he served as Deacon and assistant to the Rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Live Oak, Florida. Survivors include two sons, Lynn Sanders of Knoxville and Yancey Sanders of Tullahoma; three sisters, his twin, Fay Sanders Neil of Nashville, Mary Ferrell of Moore County and Joyce Marie Elliott of Shelbyville; two brothers, Robert C. "Bob" Sanders of Columbia and Tom Sanders of Shelbyville; several nieces and nephews.
