Frankie Cates Mr. Frankie Edwards Cates, 54, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at his residence on Graham Road in Culleoka. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Cemetery with Bobby Cates officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9:00 a,m. until 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Opal Irene Cates of Culleoka and the late Chames Oscar Cates. He attended the Baptist Church. In addition to his mother he is survived by a brother, James Ronald (Peggy) Cates, Sr. of Culleoka; three nieces, Sherry (Aubrey) Smithson, Mandy Cates, Tammy Cates; one nephew, Ronald Cates, Jr. and several cousins. He was preceded in death by one aunt, Dorothy Chapman. Pallbearers will be Harold Cates, Aubrey Smithson, Dale Cates, James Ronald Cates, Sr., Brandon Waynick and Ricky Cates.
