Frankie Lee Moser Nix, 81, homemaker and resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Kassie Coleman "K.C." Moser and Lola Parrish Moser. On December 19, 1989 she married Jerry Nix who preceded her in death May 22, 2014. The 1954 graduate of Columbia Central High was a cheerleader and a majorette in the band. For many years she worked for Homespun Shop. An avid artist, she enjoyed sewing, painting, drawing, and interior decorating. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Nix was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Cathey Montgomery of Columbia, Jan (Roger) Thompson of Santa Fe; sons, Russell (Linda) Montgomery of Summertown, Guy (Lisa) Montgomery of Mt. Pleasant, Jeff (Sandy) Nix of Hampshire; brother, Danny (Janice) Moser of Columbia; grandchildren, Laura (Shannon) Mitchell, Clint Montgomery, Justin Coleman, Jennifer (Mitch) Hulsey, Christopher (Marilyn) Thompson, Dave Cates; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Moser. Active pallbearers will be Zack McPeak, Colby Cotner, Shannon Mitchell, Presley Wise, Christopher Thompson, and Mitch Hulsey. Honorary pallbearers include JoAnn and Price Hunter, Carolyn and Raymond Simpson, Dr. David Foster, David Fitzgerald and Columbia Central High School Class of 1954.
