FRED HIGH Mr. Fred Nunley High, 57, former machinist and resident of Early Road, died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. The Giles County native was the son of the late Fred High and Alma Cordelia Walker High Tripp. He was formerly employed at United Carbide in Franklin and Brooks Machine Shop in Columbia. He served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include a son, Freddie Morley (Stacy) High of North Dakota; a sister, Jane (Tony) Scott of Hampshire; brother, Ronald (Robin) Tripp of Columbia; grandchild, Fred Rion High of North Dakota; three nieces, Candace Dee Tripp, Tiffany Diane Tripp, Ellen Scott; one nephew, Jarrett Scott; stepfather, Ronald G. Tripp of Columbia; and special friend, Bernice Davidson of Columbia. Pallbearers will be George "Cotton" Owens, Danny "Goober" Owens, Ronnie Tripp, Tony Scott, Allen "Skinny" Vandiver and Jimmy Davidson.
