Mr. Fred Herschel Hoffman, 50, employee of Saturn Corporation, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence on Blue Moon Lane in the Williamsport Community. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Clements officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. He served in the United States Marines and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sherri Lynn Watson Hoffman of Columbia; three daughters, Teresa Marie Hoffman, Jennifer Lynn Hoffman, Cheryl Ann Hoffman all of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jazlyne Lashea Frierson, Serena Promise Edwards; three sisters, Donna Ochoa and Pat Vilak both of Michigan and Kathy Corvell of Spring Hill. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Edward Howard Hoffman and a sister, Judy Keyser.
