Fred Herschel Hoffman

Mr. Fred Herschel Hoffman, 50, employee of Saturn Corporation, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence on Blue Moon Lane in the Williamsport Community. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Clements officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Flint, Michigan native was the son of the late Howard Conrad Hoffman and Betty Louise White Hoffman Davenport. He served in the United States Marines and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sherri Lynn Watson Hoffman of Columbia; three daughters, Teresa Marie Hoffman, Jennifer Lynn Hoffman, Cheryl Ann Hoffman all of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jazlyne Lashea Frierson, Serena Promise Edwards; three sisters, Donna Ochoa and Pat Vilak both of Michigan and Kathy Corvell of Spring Hill. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Edward Howard Hoffman and a sister, Judy Keyser.
