Fred Sanders Mr. Fred Odale Sanders, 58, owner of Fred Sanders Construction and resident of Theta Pike, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Anthony Muston officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the son of the late Hart Sanders and Mary Dale Sanders. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. He served in the United States Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy (Lonnie) Compton and Mrs. Bonnie (Melvin) Potts both of Columbia; two brothers, Ronnie (Barbara) Sanders of Ardmore and William (Barbara) Sanders of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be R.P. Williams, Richard Parks, Jeff Parks, Edward Jones, Wayne Brunson, Kenny Smith, Raymond Vaughn, Bill Jones, F.A. Potts, Jimmy Workman, Dwayne Strickland, Bobby Lovell, Allen Elias, Bill Marbet, Jim Bratton, Tom Burt, Danny Burt, Jerry Sharp, Julian Sharp and Mike Perko. Honorary pallbearers will be George Shaw, friends at Doug's Place and members of the Columbia V.F.W.
