Freddy Dwayne Senter

December 2, 1940 — August 18, 2006

Freddy Dwayne Senter, 65, millwright for Union Carbide Corporation and resident of Martin Hollow Road in the Campbell Station Community, died Friday, August 18, 2006 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Bill Richardson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at Milledgeville Cemetery in McNairy County. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hardin County native was the son of the late R. C. Senter and Wilma Sue McMurry Senter. He was married August 20, 1961 to the former Nina Joyce Fitzgerald. Mrs. Senter died February 27, 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Freddie Lynn Oliver and Navada Sue Shannon of Campbell Station; two sons, Terry Dale (Cecilia) Senter of Tullahoma and Walter Shane Senter of Campbell Station; a brother, Bill (Betty) Senter of Columbia; four grandchildren, Nina Howard, Amelia Shannon, Brandi Oliver, and Shelby Shannon. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Michael Senter. Nephews and cousins will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are retired employees of Union Carbide Corporation.
