Frederick Andrew Blair, 84, retired self-employed decorator, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God of Columbia with Rev. Charles Blythe officiating. The body will be conveyed to Kansas City, Missouri for interment. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Denver, Colorado he was the son of the late Ben F. Blair and Elizabeth Wohlfordt Blair and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Blair spent most of his life in Kansas City, Missouri where he worked as a self-employed decorator and painter. He was a member and past recording secretary of Painter's Union 861 and DAR-E. Schumaon Heink Chapter 21. He and his wife made their home in Columbia the past four years and were members of the First Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Lois Rae Champe Blair of Columbia; daughters, Joy (Charles) Blythe of Columbia and Judy Bryant of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Bethany (Jon) McShurley, Deborah (Terry) Cain, Jason (Demetria) Bryant, and Joshua (Julie) Bryant; eleven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are the Board of Directors of First Assembly of God, Jim Cain, Charles Gandy, Dianne Harris, Ken Ryan, Donnie Singleton, and Randy Tosh.
