Freeman Owens

Mr. Dorris Freeman Owens, 67, retired employee of LTV Steel in Gary, Indiana and resident of Hohenwald, died Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital. The Maury County native was the son of the late Freeman Owens and Mildred Potts Owens. Mr. Owens was reared in the Theta Community and attended Maury County schools. Survivors include his wife, Ogelean Kegley Owens of Hohenwald; three daughters, Bonnie Owens of Knox, Indiana; Melinda (Jeff) Hoffman of Griffith, Indiana; Goldie (Jason) Hillman of Hebron, Indiana; four sons, Johnny Owens of Hohenwald; Donald Owens of Gary, Indiana; Tommy Owens of Wheatfield, Indiana; Frankie (Cindy) Owens of Francisville, Indiana; two brothers, Dean (Sara) Owens of Williamsport; Wayne (Ann Marie) Owens of Arlington, Virginia; one sister, Linda (Sonny) Gordon of Santa Fe; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
