View Funeral Webcast Part One View Funeral Webcast Part Two Gema Silvana Espinoza Winchester, 28, resident of Knud Drive, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Graymere Church of Christ with Wendell Robinson, Gary Dodd, and Andrew Phillips officiating. Private family burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. She was born and reared in Lima, Peru, South America. She met her future husband in 2003 while he was staying at the home of her parents while doing mission work at the church where her father was minister. They married in 2004 in Lima. They moved to Memphis where they were students at Memphis School of Preaching. Later, they lived in Valdosta, Georgia where she attended Valdosta State and he began mission work before coming to Columbia to make their home when he became associated with Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Larry Winchester of Columbia; daughter, Ana Sofia Winchester; son, Jay Tyler Winchester; parents, Maria Eliana Revilla and Rodolfa Espinoza of Lima, Peru; sister, Sandra (Justin) Collins of Atlanta, Georgia; maternal grandmother, Fortunata Revilla of Peru; paternal grandfather, Cirilo Espinoza of Peru; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Larry and Linda Thorne Winchester of Columbia; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Active pallbearers include members of the Missions Committee of Graymere Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers are Elders of Graymere Church of Christ, Dr. Robert McClure, Dr. Houston Jameson, Dr. Michael Sattasiri, and Third Floor Oncology Staff at Maury Regional Medical Center.
