Mrs. Geneva Woodruff Sparks, 81, retired employee of RCA in Indianapolis and resident of Bell Grove Drive, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Home, Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, with Pastor John Dunaway officiating. Entombment will be in Washington Park North in Indianapolis. The family will visit with friends after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. A native of Switzerland County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Woodruff and Lela Webster Woodruff. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Indiana. Survivors include her husband, Horace Sparks of Columbia; one son, Norman (Theresa) Sparks of Columbia; one brother, Leonidas "Buddy" Woodruff of Rising Sun, Indiana; three sisters, Laurie Land of Rising Sun, Indiana; Faluba Bradley of Aurora, Indiana; Flossie Locke of Columbus, Indiana; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Sparks in 1970.
