View Video Tribute George Edward Houser, 77, entered this life on September 5, 1943 and left on December 8, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Roy Houser and Mike King officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Spring Hill Children’s Home, 804 Branham Hughes Cir, Spring Hill, TN 37174. He prided himself on his loving family and long 40 plus year career with Bellsouth. Post retirement, he enjoyed staying busy gardening, reading, puzzles, and Saturday morning yard sales. His time spent with his family has left wonderful memories and funny stories to bring many laughs. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia Watkins Houser; children, Georgette (Steve) Roberts, Melba (Billy) Inman, John Edward (Kim) Houser, Roy (Marianne) Houser, and Andrew (Caitlin) Houser; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and brother, Wayne (Sunny) Houser. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Roy Houser and Melba King Houser; and brother, William (Helen) King. Active pallbearers will be Roy Houser, Bryce Roberts, Dustin Roberts, Austyn Kelley, Jeremy Haskins, Steve Roberts, and Billy Inman.
