Geraldine Elliott Scott Ashworth

Mrs. Geraldine Elliott Scott Ashworth, 57, homemaker and resident of Bryant Street in Lewisburg, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Marshall Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Giles officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Franklin County native was the daughter of the late John Sevier Elliott and Jimmie Lou Hawkersmith Elliott Beattis. She was a former longtime resident of Columbia. Survivors include one daughter, Jeanette Scott Truelove of Lewisburg; two sons, Terry Lee Scott and James "Buddy" Scott, both of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Faith Scott, Evelyn Scott, Gracelyn Scott, Kaitlyn Scott, and Katherine Scott. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Lynn Scott; three brothers, Archie Elliott, John Houston Elliott, Wayne Earl Elliott and her first husband and father of her children, William Thomas Scott who died April 10, 1984.
