Geraldine Moss Fralix, 79, homemaker and resident of Rip Steele Road, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Ledbetter officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichos.com. The DeKalb County native was the daughter of the late Toy Moss and Beulah Granstaff Moss. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was married March 23, 1946 to James Edward Fralix who preceded her in death February 11, 1988. Survivors include a son, James R. "Tooter" (Linda) Fralix of Columbia; daughters, Paulette (Malcolm, Jr.) Alley of Columbia, Jacqueline Dalton of Rally Hill, and Krissy (Travis) McNeely of Columbia; grandchildren, Jimmy (Dawn) Fralix of Water Valley, Stephanie (Corey) Culberson of Columbia, Christopher (Diane) Alley of Columbia, Misty Dalton of Murfreesboro, and Jeremy Dalton of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Garett Fralix of Water Valley, Justin Culberson of Columbia, Brandon Culberson of Columbia, Deon Luckett of Murfreesboro, Michael Luckett of Murfreesboro, Maya Luckett of Murfreesboro, Regan Alley of Columbia, and Rylee McNeely of Columbia; a sister, Joyce Collins of Bushnell, Florida; special sisters-in-law, Mary Nell Abel of Columbia and Frances Moss of Warren, Michigan. Active pallbearers are Jimmy Fralix, Cory Culberson, Christopher Alley, Travis McNeely, Jeremy Dalton, and Richard Harris. Nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
