Mrs. Wilmoth Gertrude "Trudie" Ring Underwood, 83, resident of Thomas Avenue and widow of James Thomas Underwood, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols with Calvin Hardison and Bobby Sampson officiating. Burial will be in Hardison Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Cassie Burrus Ring and Jennie Mae Craig Ring and a member of the New Lasea Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Cherry Lee (Tommy) Mimms of Pulaski; a son, James Thomas "Tommy" (Sherry) Underwood, Jr. of Columbia; four grandchildren, Eric Hamilton Mimms of Antioch, Edward Randall Mimms of Minor Hill, Tonya Underwood (Bryan) Baker of Columbia, and Jamie Rae Underwood (Adam) Brown of Smyrna; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Ring Lynch of Bristol, Virginia, Norma Jean Ring Barker of Thompson Station, and JoAnn Ring Whitworth of Columbia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Ring Brown and Evelyn Ring; three brothers, Mahlon Ring, Elmer Ring, and Howard Ring; and a step-grandson, Jeremy Ray Allen. Active pallbearers are Homer Lee Ring, Ronnie Ring, William Ring, David Ring, Allen Ring, and Jackie Barker. Honorary pallbearers include Aubrey Baker, Joel Barker, Edward Mimms, Eric Mimms, Dr. Tom Farmer, and Elders and Deacons of Antioch Church of Christ.
