Giva Truett King, 91, farmer, homemaker, and resident of the Williamsport Community, died Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Life Care Center in Centerville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in the Leatherwood Community. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 2, 1930 in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Truett and the late Lucy McFarland Truett. She married Glenn King who preceded in death. Mrs. King was a member of Little Lot Church of Christ. Survivors include her nephews, Roger (Mitzi)) Truett of Williamsport, and Tommy Truett of Lyles. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Sam King; brothers, Joe Truett, Ralph Truett; and sisters, Hester King and Mary Baker. Active pallbearers will be family friends, including Henry Boehms, Richard Boehms, Will McEwing, and Aaron Haynes.
