Miss Gladys Catherine Hall, 80, retired from the Redstone Arsenal and resident of Kyle Lane, N.W. in Huntsville, Alabama, died Sunday, December 1, 2002 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Harlan Heiserman officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Columbia Counseling Ministries, 5001 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia or First United Methodist Church, UMRA, 120 Southeast Green Street, Huntsville, Alabama, 35810. A native of Marion County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jeptha Roy Hall and Gladys Burchette Hall. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, attended Berea College in Berea, Kentucky and was active in the Retired Federal Employees Association. Prior to moving to Huntsville, she made her home in Memphis for twenty years. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Hall of Coumbia. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Hazel Hall of Columbia; four nieces, Jennifer (Greg) Lewis of Columbia and Patricia (Donnie O.) Smith of Salisbury, North Carolina; Melissa (Wade) Bibb of Jefferson City and Marsha (John) Kirk of Columbia; a nephew, Jeptha (Kristine) Hall of Nappanee, Indiana; fourteen great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Greg Williams, Rev. Coy Hallmark, Jay Wing, Jeff Southworth, Chad Luck, Ken Rakow, Rick Mullen and Dick Gilbert.
