Gladys McCrary Simmons, 92, resident of Columbia, died Monday at Maury Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Brother Stan Caldwell and Brother Shawn Caldwell officiating. McCrary and the late beloved Victoria Elizabeth Cagle McCrary. Mrs. Simmons worked at Dixie Manufacturing, Weather Tamer and Lasko Metal Products as a machine operator and also worked as a Nursing Tech at Maury Regional Medical Center and Belair Nursing Home. She is survived by her son, Tony (Anita) Simmons of Columbia, TN; daughters, Wanda Burdelle of Charlotte, NC, Sarah (Stan) Caldwell of Orlando, FL, Patricia Ann Jett of Clarksville, TN, Doris Maag of Ft. Lawn, SC; grandchildren, Edward Foster III, Chad Foster, Andrea Foster Poarch, Dawn Caldwell Willman, Shawn Caldwell, Timothy Caldwell, Crystal Jett, Candra McLaughlin, Amanda Boxx, Phillip Simmons, Westin Simmons, Christopher Maag, Robin Maag Belk; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband who preceded her in death on June 5, 2013, Marshall E. Simmons, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sherman McCrary; sisters, Evalene Hay, Marie Tomlinson, Audrey Scott.
