Glenda Ann Woody Adams, 78, retired Administrative Secretary to Plant Management at Union Carbide and resident of Santa Fe, died Monday, May 27, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Sherry Ladd officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Santa Fe Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Born January 9, 1941 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Orvis O. Woody and the late Ruby Gidcomb Woody. On September 15, 1984, she married Pat Adams who preceded her in death March 29, 2003. She was a 1958 graduate of Santa Fe High School. As a loving mother and a devoted grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family boating and fishing at the river. Mrs. Adams was a member of Santa Fe Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughters, Vicki (Michael) Dodson of Santa Fe; Sandy (Jeff) McLain of Columbia; sister, Katie Woody Duncan of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Bobbi Dodson, Mikayla Dodson, Ashley Dodson, Sawyer Humphrey, Spencer Humphrey, Hallie McLain, Dylan McLain; sister-in-law, Reba Adams; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion, Molly. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vonda Lax Humphrey, December 15, 2005. Active pallbearers will be Byron White, Jeff McGee, Daniel White, Mark Pennington, Kent Woody, James Toungette, Jimmy Humphrey, and Dean Sewell. Honorary pallbearers include Members of Santa Fe Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
