Gloria Frances Anthony

Gloria Frances Anthony, 55, caseworker for Tennessee Career Center, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at her residence on Elaine Drive. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery with Pastor Sharon Ogilivie and Rev. Daniel Gibb officiating. She attended Maury County schools and earned a associate's degree from Columbia State Community College. She later earned a bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She was a member of the Eighth Street Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Robin Anthony of Columbia; a son, Chris (Rene) Anthony of Antioch; her mother, Helen Brandon Anthony of Columbia; a sister, Judy Alderson of Columbia; two brothers, Wiley Anthony, Jr. of Columbia and William (Carolyn) Anthony of Nashville; two grandchildren, Whitley Burkeen and Jada Anthony; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Wiley Anthony, Sr. and a sister, Cheryle Anthony Baines. The family expresses deep appreciation to devoted family, church members, and friends who gave comfort, love, and support during this difficult time.
