MRS. GLORIA THOMAS Mrs. Gloria Jean Gray Thomas, 55, retired business analyst at Bell South and resident of Riverside Drive, died Friday, December 13, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Adair and Sheriff Enoch George officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Hine "Bill" Gray and Bobbie Jean Davis Gray. She was married to Phillip Thomas who preceded her in death on March 9, 1998. She was a 1964 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and Columbia Council of Telephone Pioneers. Survivors include her grandmother, Ruby Loftin Davis of Columbia; one son, Brian David (Tracy) Pullum of Lewisburg; one daughter, Christy (Brian) Bennett of Columbia; two sisters, Vicki (Chip) Gray of Chapel Hill; Marlene (John) Kirk of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Steven Pullum, Patricia Pullum, Emily Kelly, and Allison Kelly, all of Lewisburg; Brittany Ring, William Bennett, and Waylon Bennett, all of Columbia; one niece, Ashley Kirk of Columbia; one nephew, Adam Gray of Columbia; and two stepdaughters, Kim (Victor) Booker and Amy Thomas, both of Columbia. Pallbearers will be Ted Barnes, Jim Bradley, Michael Ring, Wayne Hines, John Church, Jim Cothran, and Bobby McKnight.
