Grace Poore Frank, 95, retired employee of Dupont and resident of Owen Drive, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at The Bridge Assisted Living at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan and Glenn Holland officiating. Entombment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 17, 1923 in Lewis County, Tennessee, she was the last surviving child of the late John Crocker and Pearle Duncan Poore. On April 7, 1950, she was married for sixty years to love of her life, Hyman Frank who preceded her in death September 23, 2010. Mrs. Frank will be remembered for her outgoing personality, sense of humor, love of music, and her sense of style. She was a long-time member of Graymere Church of Christ. She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, many cousins, special friends and caregivers. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James Poore, Frank Poore, and John Crocker Poore, Jr.; four sisters, Elizabeth Weiss, Christine Malone, Kathryn Pittman and Frances Hickerson; and by four nephews, Donald Lynch, Danny Pittman, Larry Malone, and Keith Malone. Pallbearers will be Jeremey Butt, Tim Roundtree, Dennis Roundtree, Mike Pruitt, Jeff Knox, Phillip Crews, David Cochran, and Barry Farris.
