Gracie Elaine Oliver Haywood, 56, homemaker and resident of School Street, died Friday, September 12, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Anthony Muston officiating. Burial will be in Knob Creek Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Herman Murphy Oliver and Myrtle Dugger Oliver and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Michael Haywood of Columbia; daughter, Wendy Dawn Haywood of Columbia; beloved granddaughter, Willow Clare Moore of Columbia; sisters, Mary Etta Davis, Argie Oliver, Linda Dugger, Connie Thompson, all of Columbia, and Cathey (Richard) Sinden of St. Peter's, Missouri; brothers, Jerry Oliver of Columbia and Randy Oliver of Hohenwald. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Oliver. Active pallbearers are Harold Haywood, Jr., Bobby Joe Haywood, Jr., Corey Cooper, Carlton Haywood, Harold Wayne Richardson, Jr., Jamie Thompson, Mike Simmons, and Chris Dugger. Honorary pallbeaers include David Heflen, Steve Terry, Jeremy Thompson, and Coy Lee Wiesman.
