GRADY PINKLETON Grady Pinkleton, 86, retired employee of Victory Van Lines, former employee of Maury County Collection Center and resident of Greenfield Drive in Culleoka, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Gene Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Elmont, Alabama native was the son of the late Vonnie Pinkleton and Lura Elizabeth Wilson Pinkleton. He was married to Viola Green Trice Pinkleton who preceded him in death. Mr. Pinkleton was a lifelong resident of Columbia and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He attended Grace Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include one son, Richard (Debbie) Pinkleton of Culleoka; one step-daughter, Joan (Joe) Hendley of Columbia; one sister, Annie Francis of Mt. Pleasant; one granddaughter, Amber Davison; five step grandchildren, Richie Cloutier, Libby Clanton, Patty Grantham, Terry Musel, Donna Burgess; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Pinkleton, William Pinkleton, and Woodrow Pinkleton; five sisters, Elizabeth Pinkleton, Mary Pinkleton, Mattie Lou Pinkleton, Bessie Thornton, and Lillie Ward; and two stepsons, Harold Trice and James Trice. Pallbearers will be Joe Hendley, Michael Pinkleton, Richard Ragsdale, R. L. Durham, and Gary Cummins. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Grissom, Marshall Ledbetter, Jr., employees of Victory Van Lines, employees of Maury Regional Hospital Coronary Care Unit, Dr. Janice Venson, Dr. R. Douglas Kennedy, Dr. Kenneth Fulks, friends at Kathy's Family Restaurant and Bucky's Restaurant.
