Mr. Gregg John Jimenez, 36, truck driver for Williamson County Ready-Mix and resident of Bragg Road, died Monday, October 29, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Paul officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Tennessee National Guard 1175th Transportation Company. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Saginaw, Michigan native was the son of Ramon R. Olivares of Auburn Hills, Michigan and the late Rosalinda J. Olivares. He was a 1990 graduate of Pontiac Northern High School and attended Columbia State Community College in the Respiratory Care Program. He was currently serving in the Tennessee National Guard 1175th Transportation Co. and served eight years in the United States Army stationed in Fort Campbell and Italy. He served in Iraq during Desert Storm and also in Panama. Mr. Jimenez was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Rhonda Jimenez of Columbia; two daughters, Rayna Michele Jimenez, Talia Rose Jimenez both of Columbia; sister, Salina Stinson of Auburn Hills, MI; brother, Ramon (Nicole) Olivarez, Jr. of Chapel Hill; two nieces, Rosalinda Olivarez, Tanya Sierra; nephew, Christopher Grubbs; and grandmothers, Agnes Jimenez and Esmeregilda Olivares and brother-in-law Anthony Stinson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tanya Olivarez; grandfathers, Thomas Jimenez and Ernesto Olivares; and two special cousins, Joseph Jimenez and Luis Camocho. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Williamson County Ready-Mix and the Tennessee National Guard.
