Gusta Jane Barber McKee

Gusta Jane Barber McKee, 86, resident of Paul Drive, died Friday, September 24, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Eugene Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Downey Cemetery in Hohenwald. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Perry County native was the daughter of the late Kinchen Barber and Edna Hinson Barber. She was married to Jesse Porter McKee who preceded her in death in May 1982. Mrs. McKee was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, James Earl McKee and David Clark McKee, both of Columbia; two sisters, Helen Barber of Centerville; Alene Ellis of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, Christina McKee and Amanda Anderson, both of Columbia; three great grandchildren, Steven Anderson, Hannah Anderson, and Trey Holt, all of Columbia; five nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Elizabeth McKee; one sister, Ruth Barber; and two brothers, James Barber and Guy Barber. Pallbearers are Sonny Hill, Ronnie Erwin, R. B. Sands, Chris Hardison, Josh Anderson and Bill Minor.
