Gwenda Lynn Roberts Westmoreland, 60, resident of Haley Lane, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 11, 1956, in Anchorage, Alaska, she was the daughter of Lonnette McCrary Sims and the late Doyle McCrary. She was married to Anthony Ray "Tony" Westmoreland who preceded her in death June 17, 2012. Gwenda was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, April Rene (Jason Pruitt) Norman of Columbia; son, William Cody (Megan) Norman of Summertown; grandchildren, Michael Fuller, Timothy Levi Roberson; grandmother, Frieda Sims; sister, Jodi (James) McCrary; brother, Garth (Teresa) McCrary; special friends, David Calvert, Chase Munn; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie "Sarita" McCrary, Billy Glen (Joann) Roberts, Scott McCrary; granddaughter, Emily Lanae Gibson; and mother-in-law, Ellen Rankin.
