Mr. H. Gordon Cannady, 66, retired employee of Pugmill Systems and resident of Highland Avenue, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 2p.m. Saturday at Lynnwood Cemetery with Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. The Giles County native was the son of the late Tom Cannady and Nina Whitworth Cannady. He was a graduate of Culleoka High School. Mr. Cannady served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Masons in Wisconsin. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Will (Shannon) Cannady of Columbia; a brother, Dwayne (Geraldine) Cannady of Alabama; a sister, Jean Lewter of Alabama; several cousins; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Lovell and Janis Thurman. Honorary pallbearers will be John Adams, Allen Clark, Roy Osborne, Don Osborne, Carlton Thurman and past and present employees of Pugmill Systems.
