Mr. Hamlett Osborne Kinzer, 92, farmer and retired employee of Union Carbide, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, at his residence on Knob Creek Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Davis officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. He was married to Pauline Sutherland Kinzer who preceded him in death on August 5, 1991. Mr. Kinzer was a member of Theta United Methodist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Ruth (Bobby) Dennis of Nashville; Marie (Jerry) Merryman of Madison; Peggy (James) Fuller of Columbia; Patsy (Billy) Tyree of Hermitage; one brother, Delbert (Eunice) Kinzer of Franklin; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Greg Dennis, Tony Fuller, Brian Fuller, David Tyree, Kirk Tyree, Jim McNeely, and Ronnie Roland. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Jack, Billy Joe Taylor, Tom Parham, Donnie Clark, Joe Hendley, Robert George, Buck Hall, Ricky Joe Taylor, Billy Kent Taylor, Dr. Thomas Dake, Bob Buitenhuy, members of Theta United Methodist Church, and special friends of the Knob Creek Community.
