Mr. Hardie Colon Parham, Jr., 75, resident of Woodmont Drive, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Wright officiating. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery. Mr. Parham was born and raised in the Boston Community of Williamson County and was the son of the late Hardie Colon Parham, Sr. and Nora Alice Fox Parham. He was a self-employed home builder and was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Rebecca Hamilton Parham of Columbia; one son, Michael (Kim) Parham of Columbia; three daughters Lynn (Carl) Brooks of Mt. Pleasant, Joyce (Barry) Crotzer of Columbia, Dorothy (Marty) Crowder of Hartsville; one sister, Gertrude Fox of Thompson Station; ten grandchildren, Kaitlin Parham, Hardie Parham, Kevin (Sarah) Brooks, Burton Brooks, Jill Brooks, Christopher (Michelle) McClain, Jenna Crotzer, William Crowder, Katie Crowder, Elisabeth Crowder; three great-grandchildren, Carson Lee Brooks, Jordan McClain, Brittany McClain; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Parham, Herbert Parham, and three sisters, Lucille Barnhill, Lorene Sullivan and Jewell Akin. Pallbearers will be Kevin Brooks, Burton Brooks, Christopher McClain, Donnie Jackson, Richard Ebner, Terry Akin, David Barnhill and Donald Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Ray Akin, Eric Jackson, Luther Parham, the staff of Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center and Dr. Douglas Kennedy.
