Mr. Harold Wayne Hargrove, 55, employee of Publix Manufacturing Company and Union Carbide Corporation and resident of Greenwood Acres, died Thursday, August 12, 2004 at his mother's residence on Snow Creek Road. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Robert Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the Sparkman Cemetery in the Boston Community with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The Maury County native was the son of Mildred Gilliam Hargrove of Santa Fe and the late Charlie Hargrove. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and served in the U. S. Army in Viet Nam. Survivors in addition to his mother include two sons, Troy Wayne Hargrove of Columbia and Harold Wayne (Janice) Hargrove of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Pat (Mike) Shouse and Teresa (Ed) King, both of Santa Fe; two grandchildren, Hunter Hargrove and Hannah Hargrove; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Evelyn Rider. Active pallbearers are Trent Mitchell, Johnny Cates, Michael Shouse, Pee Wee Posey, Bobby Mangrum and Jimmy Joe Steverns. Members of the Fruit of the Vine are honorary pallbearers.
