MR. HAROLD SEMORE Mr. William Harold Semore, 80, retired from Columbia Gulf Transmission and resident of Taylor's Store Road in the Hampshire Community, died Saturday, September 21, 2002 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Joe Macer officiating. Burial will be in the South Point Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the South Point Cemetery Fund, in care of Bonnie Riley, AM South Bank, 1114 Nashville Highway, Columbia. The Hickman County native was the son of the late Jesse Paul Semore and Jessie Lee Shepard Semore. He was a member of the South Point Church of Christ. His wife, Lizzie Brown Semore, died March 12, 1999. Survivors include a son, Jerry Wayne (Kathy) Semore of Ooltewah; a sister, Martha Work of Dickson; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Eric) Hale of East Hartford, Connecticut, Kelly Semore and Michael Semore, both of Ooltewah; sisters-in-law, Jean Semore and Pauline Shelby, both of Columbia, Laverne Redden of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother-in-law, Hayes Mathis of Centerville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Harold Don Semore, a sister, Pauline Mathis and two brothers, Ray Semore and J. P. Semore. Pallbearers are Randy Speed, Terry Shelby, Todd Ellen, Dale Semore, Keith Semore, Garvis Semore, Jerry Pruitt and Randy Baxter.
