Mrs. Hazel Wesley Whitehead, 84, former longtime resident of Hilltop Drive, died Monday, April 6,2009 at her residence in Corryton, Tennessee.A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Memorials may be made to Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, Tennessee Unit, 205 Badger Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.The Mississippi native was the daughter of the late Mose Wesley and Ella Everette Wesley. On February 15, 1947 she married Oliver S. "Ollie" Whitehead who preceded her in death on February 26, 1987. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Columbia.Survivors include her daughter Carole Whitehead Todd and son-in-law Terry Todd of Corryton and granddaughter, Jennifer Holt of Knoxville.
