Mrs. Helen Terry Daniel, 84, retired co-owner of Stan's Restaurant and a resident of Poplar Estates, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Homer D. Kelley and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund, 127 Theta Pike, Columbia 38401. She was a former long-time resident of Spring Hill and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Columbia. She married Woodrow Wilson Daniel on September 12, 1939. He preceded her in death May 30, 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Larry) Warren of Columbia; two sons, Richard (Anna) Daniel and Marty (Chrys) Daniel, both of Columbia; a brother, Benny (Wilma) Terry of Hot Springs, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Martin Keith (Jody) Daniel, Candice Johnson, Lance (Jacqueline) Warren, Julie Warren and Summer (Chris) Starks; four great-grandchildren, Briley Warren, Everett Daniel, Daly Daniel and Blaze Johnson. Active pallbearers are Martin Keith Daniel, Chris Starks, Lance Warren, Marvin Bailey, John Buchanan, Gene Legg, and Gary Bailey. Honorary pallbearers include Robert Hooten, Harry Edwards, Faye Hartsfield, Deacons of Northside Baptist Church and the Staff and residents of Poplar Estates.
