Mrs. Helen Doris Ambrose Kelley, 76, long-time resident of Florida Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Dickie Lindsey officiating. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Alex Ambrose and Elise Boshers Ambrose. Mrs. Kelley worked as a sewing machine operator at Southeastern Shirt Corporation since 1984 until recently. Survivors include daughter, Diane (Richard) Lindsey of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Walter Benton Kelley, Jr. and Bradley Weaver (Martha) Kelley, both of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Neal Wade Kelley, Melinda Dawn (Greg) Sanders, and Anthony Dewayne Lindsey; two great-grandchildren, Brandy Sue Hedrick and Dalton Wade Kelley; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Benton Kelley, Sr. in 1984, grandchild, Brandon Scott Kelley in `1984; sister, Maureen Pierce Stinson, and brothers, Howard Ambrose, William Ambrose, and Reynold Ambrose. Active pallbearers are Walter Benton Kelley, Jr., Bradley Weaver Kelley, Richard Lindsey, Anthony Dewayne Lindsey, Neal Wade Kelley, and Greg Sanders. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Straight and employees of Southeastern Shirt Corporation.
